HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
I made the girls costumes, and they were thrilled when the day finally came.
Sophia was Dorothy, including the obligatory ruby red shoes. She actually didn't want to wear her costume to her Halloween lantern walk at school, as she was convinced her shoes and costume would be ruined in the rain. So she wore her tattered Sleeping Beauty costume to every Halloween party or event that happened before the actual day. So, her costume was perfect for her big Dorothy "reveal"
So funny, and so Sophie.
Avery was a fairy. She loved her poofy skirt, until she put it on. then it was "i'm so itchy..." repeated a gabazillion times.
Lyla was a butterfly. She took her transformation seriously. A note: don't touch the wings of a butterfly unless you are invited to. Otherwise the extremely loud screeching butterfly comes out to play. SCARY
Toby was a Green Bay Packer fan. Huge leap, I know. I was a gypsy. Then I was sick and threw up on the way to trick or treating. so we turned around and I ralphed the night away while the kids filled their bags with candy.
Oh well, Halloween really is about the kids, even though I love it
I love Fisher's face, and Avery checking him out
The fun McKinney boys! We have such fun with them...
I wanted to make sure to take great pictures this year as the last two years have not really worked out on that front. Toby assured me he would take a lot.
Um, he had a little problems with the camera.
Thanks honey, for trying!

Am I still talking about September?? sheesh
My sweet husband planned the BEST surprise trip for my birthday. After telling me to pack a dress and swimsuit, we were out the door. I highly recommend that every single person on Earth experience the Kona Village. No phones, no t.v., just pure heaven! It is amazing how much we disconnect from our favorite people by turning the t.v. on. Don't get me wrong, Project Runway is one of my favorite activities ever, but spending multiple days without the tube is good for the family! We had so much fun together..As soon as we arrived we were presented with froofy drinks..gotta love the umbrellas kids...then we took off on a walk to find our Hale..beautiful
The view from our hale- Instead of hotel rooms, Kona Village has individual houses-
loved this
yes, my mouth is full. appetizers on the lanai
There was swimming
Gathering baby coconuts
Dinner at sunset
yes, I could eat here pretty regularly
Thank You Thank You Thank You
to my very sweet husband
I love you
